History from Founder

Channel Logistics, LLC was conceptualized and formed in 2001 in part to target security flaws post September 11, 2001 that highlighted the urgent need for achieving Maritime Domain Awareness (MDA). Our team had substantial legacy experience in and understood all the nuances of the maritime industry that make "Shipping" a potential catalyst to launch asymmetric warfare. The company started to develop and implement MDA technologies in the United States and Asia shortly thereafter. MDA processes were consistently improved with operational input from key stakeholders that included Government, Law Enforcement, Academia, Regulatory and Commercial Maritime industry.

The company has participated in numerous Pilot deployments, Internal Research & Development projects with Northrop Grumman, Lockheed Martin, General Dynamics and DRS Technologies. Rapid prototyping, continued development and lessons learnt between 2001 and 2008 strongly helped contribute towards the cutting edge capabilities currently being offered. The company regularly exchanges ideas with industry to improve Maritime Domain Awareness thru regular presentations at maritime security conferences, FLAG level briefings, Tabletop exercises, Publishing white papers, demonstrations to the user community, Integration with complementary technology products from other prime contractors. The company has a history of teaming with industry leaders such as Lloyds Register-Fairplay (Official Managers for the International Maritime Organization) to offer holistic MDA solutions.

The path and outcome of research and development for MDA platforms like ours is applicable to multiple security situations such as counter terrorism, anti piracy etc. As the world’s sea lanes of communication (SLOC's) face the alarming prospects of asymmetric warfare we have been quite successful in leveraging our technology platform with early adopters of MDA technologies such as the Governments of Singapore and Australia. We also believe that the law enforcement and corporate security industry will be a potential market for our broader MDA services. The corporate culture encourages entrepreneurial philosophy and is designed to attract and retain employees. Due to the nature of our work, US citizenship and security clearance is required for some of our jobs. Channel Logistics is a privately held equal opportunity employer.

The company has rolled out a suite of new capabilities to enhance MDA (Maritime Domain Awareness) that include CATE-SM™ Computer Assisted Sense Making and CATE-KM™ Computer Assisted Knowledge Management to complement CATE-SA™ Computer Assisted Situational Awareness and CATE-TE™ Computer Assisted Threat Evaluation. Our clients count on us to deliver cutting edge MDA products and services as space based assets such as Satellites and UAV’s are leveraged in securing the maritime domain.

Very Respectfully
